Lost in sight

Chapter One

Watching the glimmering stars fade into shrouded
night skies, she waits for a moment and watches.

A distant figure awaits her moment, seemingly  forever.

The shadows fall over the moonscape,
trees sway in the winds. Her shadow and the branches intertwine. They almost look like they're dancing, the stars become lights.

This dream crawls over the night. A worried
world falls away, slowly submerged under an
alluring dream again. Shimmering in silver, sad memories, the swords of life begin to fold away.

The colorless light emerges to transport me into a  world into another dimension, beyond the scope of understanding. Under the stars she waits, standing guard, against dark forces watching from beyond the false safety of her guardian moon.

Not a word is spoken, but nothing more needs to
be said. The moment is ours to share, a bond
that will last forever. Two lonely spirits connect
in time and space for a brief moment.

Chapter Two

Why?

Chapter Three

It is December 4, 1996. More than a decade ago now. I am walking around a strange city all alone. There's a lot floating around in my mind. I don't really know what the questions are, let alone the answers. One question that keeps haunting me, is one someone asked me a couple nights ago: who is that woman in that polka dot dress supposed to be? I've been asking myself the same question. The dreams just keep coming back. I walk the streets, the wind blows right through me, and I feel very strange, as if something terrible is about to happen. I can't explain it. It just happens sometimes. This time, I was right.

For a million reasons, the many mistakes I made this week will haunt me for the rest of my life.

And one question will continue to torment me for as long as I live:

Why?
